Asbestos roofs absorb large amounts of water which in time invariably leads to a decrease in weatherproofing performance with associated problems including fungus growth, heat-loss and cracking. The Triskell Asbestos Treatment penetrates into the roof surface to create a waterproof coating that literally becomes part of the original roof. The application of the Triskell Asbestos Treatment not only provides a cost-effective waterproofing system but also many associated benefits including improved heat-retention and a visually pleasing roof finish matching the original roof colour of introducing new colours for maximum impact. Specification for Chemplas Triskell Pigmented System for asbestos roofs.Wash existing asbestos roof sheets with the use of an industrial pressure washer removing all moss, lichen and dirt leaving the sheets completely clean. The water will be filtered and all moss and debris will be double bagged sealed and removed from site into a licensed asbestos skip provided by us. All roof sheets will be checked for any splits or cracks. Sheets with minor cracks will be repaired using the Chemplas Triskell repair kit. This process will be carried out before any coating is applied. Any un-repairable roof sheets will be shown to the contract administrator once the washing process is completed and can be replaced at an extra cost with matching profile fibre cement sheets.
On completion of works the site will be carefully cleaned and all debris and waste material will be removed to licensed skips provided by us. TRILITE 3.0 With a weight of 3.05kg/m2,Trilite 3.0 sheets in typical applications are resistant to damage during construction.They are suitable on projects where there is limited or controlled access needed after construction. TRILITE 2.4 Trilite 2.4 sheets have a weight of 2.44kg/m2 and are the minimum requirement to achieve Class C liner non-fragility during construction for most profiles and assemblies.They are suitable for projects that will require minimal roof access. If Trilite 3.0 and Trilite 2.4 are used as lining panels, the roof light will become non-fragile at lining out stage. TRILITE 1.8 This 1.83kg/m2 sheet is a cost-effective option but only achieves non-fragility when used in a double skin roof light with Trilite 2.4 and above. |
