Kingspan Steel Cladding
Insulated Roof Tile System
KS1000 RT Roof Tile looks like a traditional tiled roof but it's a modern Kingspan insulated panel with a shaped exterior that performs better than any tiling system on steel roofs.
The insulation is built-in and can be used for any domestic or commercial building with a steel cladding roof pitch of 12° or more. The traditional look hides a sophisticated system that is easy to construct and complies with all contemporary building standards. It is also LPCB approved to LPS 1181.
Steel Roofs - System Benefits
- FIREsafe Property & Business Protection Risk – External claddings that are Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) approved to LPS 1181 can be classed as a 'non-combustible building' by the Association of British Insurers (ABI).
- Complies with HSE and CDM safety requirements.
- Fully complies with Part L2 (England & Wales) and Part J (Scotland) Regulations and Standards.
- Suitable for steel roofs of 12 degrees and above.
- Meets planners objectives for less obtrusive buildings.
- Single-fix construction provides a rapid weathertight roof which facilitates earlier internal fit-out.
- Warm roof construction can easily provide an additional usable storey or lettable space with regulatory compliant rafter level insulation and internal lining.
- Roof Tile plays a key role in reducing air leakage to facilitate Building Regulation Part L compliance.
- Increasing building height and incorporating an additional usable storey is particularly beneficial for high density residential, low-rise multi-storey location developments, eg, apartments.
- Lifetime insulation continuity, thermal performance and airtightness (5m3/hr/m2) certainty.
- Accelerated build speed through pre-engineered, single component, single-fix installation, reduces site time by up to 50%.
- Environmentally sustainable system - Zero ODP and non-deleterious.
- Energy efficient performance reduces M&E plant and lifetime operating costs by up to 40%.
- Environmentally sustainable solutions reduce lifetime Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions by up to 40%.
- Complies with Parts E & H 'Resistance to the passage of sound' for non-domestic buildings. For residential, domestic, education and healthcare building applications, BB93 and HTM 2045 solutions, consult Kingspan Technical Design Bureau.
- Lifetime durability - up to 25 years to first maintenance and overall life expectancy of up to 40 years.
- Incorporates Velux daylighting systems.
- Can incorporate safety and fall arrest systems.
- Quality approved to ISO 9001: 2000.
- FIBREfree insulated panel system

X-dek® Frame to Frame
Roof System
KS1000 XD provides X-treme spans of up to 8 metres while offering substantial weight savings against conventional built-up multi-part roofs by eliminating secondary steelwork.
Rapid pre-engineered single component single-fix installation reduces site installation time and achieves a build speed performance of up to 1,500m' per day. Site safety is not compromised due to the use of proven `Ground to Roof' handling installation methods and equipment. The system can incorporate internal sprinklers, cable, wire and lighting, daylighting, ventilation and project specific penetrations.

Corus
Standard roof profiles |
Corus Panels and Profiles offer an attractive and economic range of roof profiles to meet both the aesthetic and structural requirements of the designer.
|
|
Standard lining profiles |
Corus Panels and Profiles offer a range of lining panels specifically developed to be compatible with the outer sheet product range thus allowing the accommodation of modular roof lights.
|
|
Pressed profiles |
Pressed profiles are manufactured by brake press, which offers flexibility in their design but limits the overall length to 3.6 metres. The brake press tool creates the rib profile which means that the shape of this is fixed; however the spacing of ribs may be varied to create interesting aesthetic effects. Thus the crown and pitch are variable but the rib shape is not.

Kalzip |
Kalzip has a long and proud pedigree. The standing seam system evolved from the very first concept back in the 1800's when a raised seam was produced to prevent water penetration on church roofs. The Kalzip system known today was patented by Patrick Schroyer in the 1960's.
