Premature failure of pvc-coated galvanised sheeting and cladding is a problem commonly experienced by building maintenance specifiers and occupants.

All too frequently, attempts to overcome this problem by various remedial methods meet with failure, resulting in continuing unsightly steel cladding finishes on many industrial buildings throughout the country.

Asbestos roof refurbishment specialist Chemplas Triskell has, after extensive research and material testing, developed Triskell Steel, a coating system designed to renovate pvc-coated galvanised sheeting and cladding quickly and economically.

The treatment involves removing defective and discoloured coating by environmentally friendly cleaning methods prior to the application of Triskell Steel, a two coat system with a life expectancy of up to fifteen years.

Triskell Steel is available in a range of attractive colours enabling the building to be restored to its original colour whilst extending the specifiers options by achieving maximum visual impact through a coordinated colour scheme.

Specification for Chemplas Triskell System for Steel Roofs

Wash existing profiled steel roof sheets with the use of an industrial pressure washer removing all dirt, algae spots and silt leaving the steel roof completely clean.

Mechanically wire brush the delaminating lap edges including all rust spots on the existing steel roof removing all existing corrosion and rust.

• Brush apply QD rust inhibiting primer to all previously prepared areas according to Messrs Chemplas Triskell's recommendations and coverage rates and allow to cure.
• Spray apply (with use of airless spray unit) Triskell Steel Intermediate to all the profiled steel roof sheets according to Messrs Chemplas Triskell's recommendations and coverage rates and allow to cure.
• Spray apply (with use of airless spray unit) Triskell Steel Top coat to all profiled steel roof sheets according to Messrs Chemplas Triskell's recommendations and coverage rates and allow to cure.

On completion of works the site will be carefully cleaned and all debris and waste material will be removed to licensed skips provided by us.

All work will be checked by one of our supervisors on completion and will be left to a guaranteed standard.

The Chemplas Triskell System carries a ten year manufacturer's guarantee.
