Asbestos Cement Roof Refurbishment

We recently undertook a project at Unit 1, Windrush Industrial Estate, Witney.

The problems that they had was that there were various leaking pitches which had cracked sheets.

There was also asbestos sheeting which had heavy moss and lichen growth on it.

In many cases nowadays people see on the only way forward with this type of asbestos roof is to over sheet or strip off and re-sheet but with the Chemplas Triskell System of which we are approved contractors for, there is a very cost effective way to maintain a watertight roof with a 10 year guarantee.

Firstly, the roof is washed with the use of an industrial pressure washer. Once the sheets are cleaned we then carefully check all the roof sheets for any cracks or deficiencies in the sheeting.

Then this is repaired using the Chemplas Triskell Cement Repair Kit.

Where sheets were cracked beyond repair, we over sheeted with a GRP sheet. We then applied the Triskell two coat clear system, see attached specification on the Triskell products.

We can also apply a three coat pigmented system which we can achieve almost any colour for those who would require a more aesthetically looking roof.

Once this work had been carried out the client was left with a watertight roof with a guarantee for 10 years.

This particular roof had been causing problems for a number of years, since we have finished the project there are now no problems and the work has been carried out at 25% of the cost of over sheeting or re-sheeting.
